Life Skills

At Silicon, we are committed to equipping our students with a comprehensive set of life skills that extend beyond the classroom. Through a diverse range of programs and activities, we impart essential knowledge and practical know-how on various aspects of life skills. These include communication skills to foster effective relationships, financial literacy to make informed decisions, problem-solving and critical thinking to navigate challenges, and time management to balance academics and personal pursuits.

Furthermore, we emphasize emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience, promoting mental and emotional well-being. By nurturing these life skills, we aim to prepare our students to confidently and successfully navigate the complexities of the real world, enabling them to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.

Personality Development

Personality development classes are an invaluable component of our educational program, dedicated to nurturing well-rounded individuals. Through these classes, we aim to empower students with essential life skills and qualities that extend beyond academics. Our curriculum encompasses various aspects, including communication skills, self-confidence, time management, and emotional intelligence. We provide students with opportunities to engage in activities that promote teamwork, leadership, and self-awareness.

ICIM Student Agency

Student agency is the highlight- students take ownership of their learning. ICIM, which is ‘Independent Country, Independent Me’, is a unique teaching technique adopted by our teachers to help children learn to be independent in their day-to-day lives. We encourage students to become independent and responsible individuals. This includes instilling habits of self-sufficiency, such as getting ready for school and taking care of their own chores, promoting self-reliance and a sense of responsibility.

At Silicon City Academy, these best practices are not just educational strategies; they are the cornerstones of our commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are equipped to succeed in the ever-evolving world. We believe that by embracing these practices, we are preparing our students for a bright and promising future.

Join us in going ‘Bagless’

At Silicon, we have bagless days, when students need not carry their bags. Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are conducted on those days. We're excited to introduce this concept aimed at fostering student responsibility, and enhancing educational experiences.

Career Guidance

Career guidance is an integral part of our commitment to preparing our students for their future endeavours. Through comprehensive career guidance programs, we offer students the support and resources they need to make informed decisions about their career paths. Our dedicated career counsellors provide one-on-one sessions, workshops, and access to valuable resources that help students explore their interests, skills, and aspirations.

SLM

“Student-Led Meetings” represent a transformative approach to parent-teacher interactions at our school. Instead of the traditional parent-teacher meetings, these sessions empower our students to take the lead in discussing their academic progress, areas of improvement, and overall learning journey. In the presence of their class teacher, students candidly present their achievements, challenges, and personal goals, fostering a sense of ownership over their education.

This approach not only encourages self-responsibility but also enhances communication and critical thinking skills. It strengthens the student’s ability to reflect on their own progress and collaborate with parents and teachers to create a supportive environment for growth..
